World Sickle Cell Day

On December 5, 2008, The 63rd Assembly of the United Nations adopted Resolution A63/237 recognizing Sickle Cell Disease as a serious world health concern. Thirteen years later, individuals living with SCD, their families, and the medical professionals who care for our population come together from all over the world to celebrate, educate, and deliberate on how to continue making
progress and improvements in quality of life for the global population living with this chronic and debilitating disorder.

There is Something for Everyone

In addition to hearing life stories from individuals with SCD and from caregivers, we will also hear from health industry professionals, researchers, policy analysts, and government officials.
