27th Annual Dinner Dance & Lifetime Achievement Gala

About SCTPN Dinner Dance

Since 1993, the Sickle Cell Thalassemia Patients Network (SCTPN) has honored medical professionals and individuals who are dedicated and committed to improving the quality of life for people living with Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia.  At this event, honorees are presented with a Lifetime Achievement, Distinguished, Outstanding, Humanitarian, or Community Service Award.   In addition, the Board of Directors and members of SCTPN acknowledge and express gratitude for the partnerships and collaborative efforts of other community-based nonprofit and civic organizations that make a commitment to assist those affected with sickle cell disease and Thalassemia and to say “thanks” to our corporate sponsors and all who support this worthy cause.

The annual dinner dance event is one of two fundraisers that supports the organization’s scholarship and outreach programs and defray some operating expenses.  The elegant event unites physicians, patients and their families, patrons and supporters for an entertaining evening of dinner and dance.

Living with sickle cell disease and Thalassemia is challenging, but finding someone who fully understands the nuances associated with these diseases is a relief for the individual living with these conditions and for the families caring for someone with these conditions. So, it is with great pride that we honor these individuals for their dedication and compassion but most of all for what they do to enhance the quality of life.
